As Promised

Avery and cousin Kaylin

Ready to go to Disneyland!

Toon Town

Avery loved the teacups. Jaron had to go with her as I cannot take the spinning anymore. :)

Waiting for the parade to start...

When Mary Poppins came out, Riley was fixated on her. She was in awe!!! At the end she kept saying, "Poppins bye bye."

Avery and Daddy got a close up view of the parade.

I forgot my camera the day we went to the fair so I will have to get those pics from D&A. Then, my battery died after our day at Disney. This is all I got!
The day and night at Disneyland was our favorite. My uncle Scott paid for us to enjoy the day and we all had such a great time. It was so much fun seeing everything through Avery's eyes and I still found myself getting goosebumps when we watched Fantasmic. Avery especially loved the fireworks show when Tinkerbell and Dumbo came flying by. After the show, I told Avery that she should have taken a nap so she could stay awake for Fantasmic. She responded, "But Mommy, I was having too much fun!" We let her sleep until 10:30pm and then woke her for Fantasmic, which she really enjoyed. When she saw the pirate ship with Peter Pan and Hook, her hands went to her cheeks and her mouth was wide open. It is such a magical place for kids. She loved every minute of it. Thanks, Scott!
We enjoyed some wonderful family time with Derek, Amy, Kaylin, and Trevor. I so wish we lived close together again.
We also met up with our friends for some grilling and hang out time. It was so fun to catch up with everyone.
I am so thankful for our family vacation.

Update to come...

I know I have neglected the blog, but we have been in Southern Cal for a family/friend visit. It was a fabulous trip full of so many wonderful things...swimming at D&A's, dressing up like cows for a free meal, the OC fair, Disneyland, BBQ's with friends, and just lots of lovely conversation! It was a blast and we are exhausted. I will have pics to come, but until then I am blogging about a giveaway to increase my chances. I stumbled across this lovely blog yesterday. Inspiring and beautiful.

Fun on the 4th

We celebrated the 4th by going to Gilroy for a BBQ with my family and then enjoyed some swimming. After that, we headed back to San Jose for another BBQ at our place with some lovely new friends. The kiddos enjoyed some sparklers in the backyard and had a fabulous time. Oh, and the adults had a fabulous time too!

This is my "new" friend Heather. Jaron calls her my BFF. :) We have so much in common and have become fast friends. It has been so much fun sharing time with her!

San Antonio

In June I traveled to San Antonio for the NATA Annual meeting and Clinical Symposium. It was a good trip, although lonely being without my family for four days. Anyway, I strolled around town at night taking some pictures.

I stayed at the Crockett Hotel, near the Alamo.

Just a few from Icehouse

We just got back from our annual camping trip to Icehouse Lake. We had such a fantastic time, as always. The girls are seriously made for camping. They both had so much fun, but Avery is the perfect age and was able to entertain herself and also be incredibly helpful. She is such a brave camper...she is normally such a girly girl. She loved the bugs, the dirt, swimming in the lake, the slimy fish, hot chocolate, and smores minus the graham cracker and marshmallow.
Riley loved the dirt and did pretty well, but she still needs to constantly be watched and that is a little hard. I think next year will be lovely. :) It is always so much fun to be in the outdoors, but it is always nice to come back home too.

So clean...the first day.

The boy...He almost died on this trip, seriously. I think he swallowed too much lake water and bark from the many logs he tried to eat. I cannot really explain what happened but it was so scary. Thankfully he is home with us.

The view from the boat dock.

Kelsey caught the first fish!

Avery was sporting this cute look and I had to snap a pic.

The girls ready to go out on the boat!

How cute is she?!

This is one of the many logs Roger tried to eat. He seems to find bigger ones every year!

Fish trio

My handsome mountain man with his dutch oven creation.

Great Grandma worked her singing magic and put Riley to sleep.

The clan...Grandpa and Grandma, Kelsey, Aunt Kathy, Melissa, Me, Riley, Avery, and Jaron.
