Hope of the Nations Fundraiser

Jaron and I attended a fundraiser dinner for some dear friends of the family. The Kneppers are missionaries in Tanzania and are doing amazing work there. Check out their website to learn more about their faithful ministry. www.hopeofthenationstz.org
The food was yummy and the line dancing was so fun to watch. There were tons of prizes being raffled off that night so Jaron had been saving a 100 dollar bill to buy tickets in hopes we would win the grand prize - A trip for 2 to Kauai with $1000 bucks for airfare. We did not win any of the other prizes so when the time came for this giveaway we were hoping for the best. The first few numbers were read and those that were still in it were asked to come out to the dance floor. Jaron was one of 4 or 5. The last three numbers were read and everyone started walking away, including Jaron. Then he hesitated and asked for Mark to read the numbers again, with his hands shaking as he tried to see if we really did win. We DID!!! I was screaming and waving my hands in the air then I did the ugly cry. Oh yes I did. We were in shock!! It still seems unreal.
We can use the vacation any time in 2011. We felt so good donating that $100 that of course we did not care if we won or lost. But it sure does feel sweet to win. :)
